Stan & Irene Sherrington have been engaged in reaching seafarer's since 1957 in the Port of Liverpool. they started off on their own doing the work for ten years. then they were invited to join Liverpool City Mission and stayed with them for three years until the Lord opened the door to work under the Seamen's Christian Friend Society in which they served until 1998 when Stan reached his 65th year and had to retire . As nobody was going to replace Stan in the Mission on a full time basis, after much prayer prior to being told they had to retire they stepped out in faith and launched Maritime Christian Ministries. The ministry continues to see the hand of the Lord upon it and they are greatly encouraged.
